What you get

Alerts that actually get seen

Less noise, the right channel, the right person, the right moment. That is the whole job.

20+ alert types

Movement, speed, geofence, temperature, connection, maintenance. Full coverage of the events a fleet manager actually cares about.

Multi-channel delivery

Email is free and unlimited. SMS and WhatsApp via credits (1 to 3 per message). Route each alert type to the right person.

Circle and polygon zones

Circle for a site with a rough centre. Polygon for an area whose edges matter. Inside, outside and nearest-point triggers.

Active and quiet hours

Schedule when each alert is monitored and when notifications pause. Critical events never wake the wrong person at 2am.

Geofencing

Draw the site. Trigger on inside, outside, or nearest point.

Circle for a depot, a school or a single address. Polygon for an irregular site whose edges matter. Each geofence feeds three alert types: inside geozone, outside geozone, and nearest geopoint. Offline vehicles log entries retroactively once signal returns, so nothing slips through.

  • Circle from a pin and a radius, polygon from three or more corners
  • Inside, outside, and nearest-geopoint triggers
  • No hard limit on how many zones you draw
  • Retroactive entry logging when offline

Multi-channel

Route each alert type where it actually gets acted on

Temperature breach to the logistics lead on WhatsApp. After-hours movement to the owner on SMS. Daily health summary to dispatch by email. Different people, different channels, different cadences, all configured from one dashboard.

  • Email: free and unlimited
  • SMS and WhatsApp via credits (1 to 3 per message)
  • Webhooks for custom integrations
  • Acknowledgement workflows for audit trails

Thresholds

Every alert adjusts in seconds, takes effect immediately

Speeding at 120 on highways, 60 in residential. Temperature above 8°C for fresh produce, below -15°C for frozen, custom range for pharma. Idle limit 5 minutes for vans, 20 minutes for construction plant. Each threshold lives per asset or per group and updates without a restart.

  • Speed thresholds per asset or group
  • Temperature ranges per vehicle type
  • Idle duration, ignition events, harsh braking
  • Changes take effect instantly, no restart
Common questions

Frequently asked

Draw a zone on the map as a circle (a pin and a radius) or a polygon (three or more corners), name it, and choose whether the alert fires on inside geozone, outside geozone, or nearest geopoint. Assign the geofence to individual assets or groups, pick notification channels and recipients, and you are live. Thresholds are adjustable live and take effect immediately. There is no dwell-time alert: for how long a vehicle stayed somewhere, use the stops and point-visits reports.

Alerts route via email (free and unlimited), SMS, WhatsApp, or webhook. You can configure different channels for different alert types, so geofence alerts can go to dispatch, speed events to a safety manager, and temperature breaches to logistics. SMS and WhatsApp use 1 to 3 credits per message depending on destination.

There is no hard limit on the number of geofences. The practical ceiling is how many zones you can keep meaningful, so name each one the way your team says it out loud. Size matters more than count: a yard or a school gate sits right at 100 to 250 m, and an industrial estate or a port wants 800 to 1,000 m.

Yes. Speed limits, temperature ranges, operating hours, idle duration, and other thresholds are all configurable per individual asset or per asset group. Different vehicle types, different routes, and different operational contexts can all have their own rules running in parallel.

Yes. Every triggered alert is logged with a timestamp, the asset involved, the exact threshold that was breached, and the action taken. The Reports module includes an Alert report and an Alarm report specifically for reviewing history, spotting recurring patterns, and refining your alert configuration over time.

Every alert type, the channel each one can reach and the way quiet hours interact with them are written out in the alerts guide in the Yipii IoT docs.
