Plug it in. Drive away. That's the install
Professional-grade tracking without the wiring, the installer appointments, or the vehicle downtime. Works on most vehicles from 2001 onwards.

Why OBD beats wired for most fleets
Wired installs used to be the only serious option. Modern OBD hardware has closed the gap and then some, for a fraction of the cost and a fraction of the hassle.
In service in 60 seconds.
No installer appointment, no vehicle off the road. Plug the device into the OBD port and tracking starts immediately.
Zero installation cost.
A wired install can run over €100 per vehicle in labour. OBD removes that line item entirely, even across a growing fleet.
Move it with the vehicle.
Selling, swapping, or rotating a vehicle? Unplug the device, plug it into the next one, and you're back online in a minute.
No modification, no trace.
OBD plugs into a standard diagnostic port. No wires spliced into the loom, no drilling, no impact on warranty or resale value.
Built to stay put
The most common question we get is "what if a driver unplugs it?" Here's how Yipii handles that.

Unplug alerts in real time.
The device reports to Yipii the moment it loses power. You get a notification within seconds, not at the end of a shift, and not when you notice a gap in a report next week.
Tamper detection built in.
The device's accelerometer detects handling and movement while the vehicle is parked. Pair that with geofence and after-hours alerts for layered protection.
Device health at a glance.
Every device's online status, last-seen time, signal strength, and firmware version are visible directly from the Yipii portal. You can remote-reboot a device without leaving your desk.

The OBD tracker
We fit every customer with the Teltonika FMC003, a 4G LTE plug-and-play OBD tracker used by fleets in over 180 countries. It's the same hardware class you'd find in enterprise telematics stacks, sold at enterprise-grade reliability, without the enterprise-grade install cost.
Every unit ships with a multi-network SIM that automatically switches between providers when coverage drops, a deliberate choice for Malta and Gozo, where single-provider outages are the single biggest cause of tracking gaps in other systems. It's also 4G LTE from the ground up, which matters more than it sounds: Malta's mobile operators are winding down 2G and 3G networks, and any older tracker still relying on them will go dark. Our devices are built for what's next, not what's being retired.
Connectivity
4G LTE Cat 1, future-ready for Malta's network transition. Multi-network SIM on every device.
Positioning
GNSS with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou support.
Vehicle compatibility
Any vehicle with an OBD-II port. Most petrol vehicles from 2001, diesel from 2004.
About Teltonika. Teltonika Telematics is one of the world's largest manufacturers of GPS tracking and IoT devices, headquartered in Lithuania and shipping to over 180 countries. Yipii's devices are European-made, fully certified, and backed by Teltonika's global support infrastructure.
More than a dot on a map
Wired trackers know where a vehicle is. OBD trackers know that and what the vehicle is doing. The device reads directly from the vehicle's own data bus, which means Yipii surfaces dozens of data points that a pure GPS unit simply can't see.

Extend the setup with sensors and beacons
The OBD tracker is the foundation. For specific needs like cold-chain compliance, asset tracking, or driver identification, we pair it with Bluetooth sensors and beacons that connect directly to the device.

EYE Sensor EN12830
Food-grade, certified temperature monitoring for cold-chain.
A Bluetooth temperature sensor certified to EN12830, the European standard for thermometers used in refrigerated transport. Internal memory keeps a full temperature history on the device, which means no data loss during connectivity gaps and documented evidence ready for audits and inspections. The casing is food-grade and compliant with EU and FDA regulations for food-contact applications.
Best for: Couriers and operators moving refrigerated goods.

EYE Sensor
Temperature, humidity, and movement detection for trailers and cabinets.
A multi-purpose Bluetooth sensor that monitors temperature, humidity, and movement. Ideal for tracking when a trailer door opens, a cold room is breached, or an equipment cabinet is accessed. Pairs with the OBD tracker and reports into the same Yipii dashboard.
Best for: Trailers, cargo bays, cold rooms, equipment cabinets, and assets where environmental conditions matter.

Bluetooth ID beacon for asset tracking and driver identification.
A compact Bluetooth beacon with years of battery life and a smart, low-profile design. Attach one to any asset you want to keep track of, such as tools, trailers, or specialist equipment, and Yipii logs it whenever it's within range of an OBD tracker. The same beacons double as driver ID tags: pair one with each driver, and Yipii automatically records who's behind the wheel on every trip.
Best for: Construction equipment, trailers, tools, helmets, and driver identification.

Raw hardware data is just noise. Yipii turns the device's stream into live map positions, 20+ scheduled report types, maintenance triggers, geofence alerts, driver scorecards, and compliance workflows, in one dashboard, without the tool sprawl.
Every device ships with a multi-network SIM. When one provider goes down in Malta or Gozo, a regular occurrence for fleets running on single-SIM systems, the device switches networks automatically, stores any gaps locally, and syncs everything to Yipii the moment it's back online. You don't lose the trail.
Device health, SIM status, vehicle assignment, remote reboot, firmware updates: all handled from the Yipii portal. No separate installer calls. No vendor login juggling. No waiting.
