Two wires. One device. Your whole fleet, tracked.

Waterproof GPS tracking for boats operating in Malta and Gozo's coastal waters. Connects directly to the vessel battery, no electrician needed, no complex wiring. IP69K rated for salt, spray, and pressure washing.

Waterproof GPS tracker for boats and marine vessels in Malta.

Built for what the sea throws at it

Tracking a boat isn't the same as tracking a van. Salt spray, engine vibration, exposed mounting, and stretches without cell coverage all demand hardware that's designed for the marine environment.

Installs in minutes.

Two wires to the battery terminals, mount with the included tape or a simple bracket, and the device is live. No wiring harness, no splicing, no electrician. Most installs take under 15 minutes.

IP69K: the highest practical protection.

Fully sealed against dust, high-pressure water jets, and steam cleaning. Not just splash-resistant, built to survive washdowns, salt spray, and engine-bay conditions day after day.

Stays connected along the coast.

4G LTE with multi-network SIM coverage. When one provider's signal fades near the coast, the device switches automatically. Data recorded offshore syncs the moment coverage returns.

Sub-2-metre positioning accuracy.

Next-generation GNSS with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou tracking across up to 41 satellites. Accurate fixes in harbours, along coastlines, and in open water.

Teltonika FTC880 waterproof marine GPS tracker with battery-mount installation.

The marine tracker

Our recommended marine tracker is the Teltonika FTC880, a next-generation 4G LTE device built for fast installation in harsh environments. It connects directly to the vessel's battery with two wires (positive and negative), no ignition circuit, no relay wiring, no wire harness to route through the hull. Mount it with the included double-sided tape or a simple bracket, and it's tracking.

The IP69K-rated casing is fully sealed against dust, salt water, high-pressure washdowns, and steam. This isn't a land tracker repackaged for boats. It's built for exposed mounting in engine bays, under consoles, or anywhere on the vessel where water and vibration are part of daily life.

Every unit ships with a multi-network SIM that switches providers automatically when signal drops, the same connectivity approach we use across our entire device range. For vessels operating along Malta and Gozo's coastline, this means consistent tracking without the gaps that single-provider SIMs create around headlands and in harbours.

Installation

Two-wire battery connection. No complex wiring, no electrician. Mount with tape or bracket.

Protection

IP69K: dust-sealed, resistant to high-pressure water jets, steam, and salt-spray environments.

Positioning

Next-generation GNSS across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou. Sub-1.5-metre accuracy with 41-satellite tracking.

About Teltonika. Teltonika Telematics is one of the world's largest manufacturers of GPS tracking and IoT devices, headquartered in Lithuania and shipping to over 180 countries. Yipii's marine devices are European-made, fully certified, and backed by Teltonika's global support infrastructure.

For vessels that need environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, door sensors), see the FMC230 option below, which adds Bluetooth sensor connectivity. Or talk to us about the right setup for your fleet →

For vessels that go further

For boats that operate in more exposed conditions or further from shore, we offer the Teltonika FTC961. It carries the same IP69K protection and 4G LTE connectivity as the FTC880, with support for high-voltage electrical systems (up to 90V) and 135-satellite-channel GNSS for reliable positioning in open water.

Like the FTC880, the FTC961 is a wired installation, but it uses a short power cable rather than a direct battery clamp. It's the right choice for electric or hybrid vessels, or for operators who want maximum GNSS coverage when operating at the edge of coastal range.

Protection

IP69K. Same rugged, fully sealed casing as the FTC880.

Connectivity

4G LTE Cat 1 with multi-network SIM. High-voltage support (10-90V) for electric and hybrid vessels.

For fleets that need onboard sensors

If your vessels need more than position tracking (temperature monitoring in a cargo hold, humidity sensing in an engine room, or automatic crew identification when someone boards), the Teltonika FMC230 adds Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity to the mix. It pairs directly with Yipii's EYE Sensor and EYE Beacon range, turning the tracker into a gateway for onboard environmental data.

The FMC230 is IP67 rated (dust-sealed, waterproof to 1 metre submersion) rather than IP69K, so it's best mounted in a sheltered position like an engine bay or under a console. It connects via a standard wiring harness to the vessel's 12V or 24V system.

Sensors

Bluetooth 4.0 LE. Pairs with EYE temperature/humidity sensors and crew-ID beacons.

Protection

IP67: dust-sealed, waterproof to 1 metre submersion. Best for sheltered mounting positions.

Paired with Yipii, it's a complete system

A tracker on its own gives you dots on a map. Yipii turns those dots into a complete operational picture: live vessel positions, historical route replay, trip-by-trip reporting, geofence alerts for harbour boundaries, and automated notifications when a vessel moves outside scheduled hours.

Every marine device ships with a multi-network SIM. When coastal coverage from one provider drops, the device switches automatically, stores any data gaps locally, and syncs everything the moment it reconnects. The same resilient connectivity approach trusted by our land fleet customers across Malta and Gozo.

Device health, SIM status, vessel assignment, remote reboot: all managed from the same Yipii dashboard your land fleet uses, if you have one. One login. One view. No separate marine portal.
