Not a dot on a map. A working tool
Built to hold up when you have 200 vehicles and a dispatcher asking where unit 47 is right now.
Real-time updates
Moving vehicles report every 5 to 10 seconds. Idle every 1 to 5 minutes. You see what is happening, not what happened.
Smart clustering
Hundreds of vehicles stay scannable. Nearby assets group automatically with counts, expanding on zoom.
Trail view
Toggle on any vehicle to see its last 100 GPS positions as a color-coded path, with speed variations visible at a glance.
Overlays that matter
Traffic, 3D buildings, geofence boundaries, and heatmaps for idle hotspots. Turn on what you need, turn off what you do not.

Positions that reflect what is actually happening
Moving vehicles update every 5 to 10 seconds. Idle vehicles every 1 to 5 minutes. Parked and offline assets report less frequently so battery lasts. The map receives updates over a persistent connection, not a slow polling loop.
- Green arrows for movement with direction pointing
- Yellow circles for idling, gray for stopped
- Persistent server connection, not polling
- Hover any marker for status and last-seen timestamp

Trail view and heatmaps, for when you need more than a position
Trail view shows the last 100 GPS points for any vehicle as a color-coded path, so you can see speed changes at a glance. Heatmap overlays surface idle hotspots, traffic congestion, and frequently visited areas without reaching for a report.
- Last 100 positions per vehicle, one click
- Heatmap overlays for idle and congestion
- Traffic layer and 3D buildings when useful
- Geofences rendered as shaded zones

Usable with 10 vehicles or 500
Automatic clustering groups nearby assets at lower zoom levels so the map stays readable. Filtering by asset group, status, or driver focuses the view in one click. Search cuts through noise by vehicle name, registration, or IMEI.
- Smart clustering with live counts on each group
- Filter by status, group, driver, or asset tag
- Search by name, registration, or IMEI
- Progressive Web App, works on any device
Frequently asked
Moving vehicles report position every 5 to 10 seconds. Idle vehicles update every 1 to 5 minutes. Parked and offline vehicles update less frequently to conserve tracker battery. The map reflects these updates in real time via a persistent connection to the server.
Yes. The Live Map uses automatic clustering that groups nearby vehicles at lower zoom levels, with counts (e.g. 12) shown for each cluster. This keeps the map readable whether you have 5 vehicles or 500. Filtering by asset group, driver, or status also lets you focus on a subset instantly.
Green arrows indicate moving vehicles with directional pointing. Yellow circles show vehicles that are idling with engine on but stationary. Gray circles represent stopped or parked vehicles. Additional status variants cover speeding, offline, and maintenance states. Hovering any marker shows the vehicle name, status, and last-updated timestamp.
Yes. Trail View overlays the last 100 GPS positions as a color-coded breadcrumb trail on the map, with color variations showing speed changes along the path. For older history, the Reports module provides complete trip replay by date.
Yes. Yipii IoT runs as a Progressive Web App, so the Live Map works in any mobile browser without an app download. Pinch-to-zoom and drag-to-pan work as expected on touch devices.
